- Description
- A handmade pitchfork constructed from a hickory tree branch from the Chicora Wood Plantation in Plantersville, South Carolina. The pitchfork is constructed from a three-pronged branch that serves as the handle and tines and a carved piece of wood with three holes to hold the tines in place. The tines have been carved to points at the ends. There are two metal twists around the handle. Painted on the edge of the tine holder is a white rectangle with hand painted black text that reads [R438].
