Description
A tribal art metal implement. The implement is constructed from two pieces of metal a tanged blade and socket. The tang of the blade is embedded in the wooden handle fragment inside the socket. The wooden handle in the socket extend just slightly below the socket where is broken off. The socket is constructed from a metal sheet that has been wrapped around the wood, with the overlapping edges crimped into place. The head of the implement is flat and crescent-shaped on top; with one side a long, pointed pick, and the other, a blade with a thick heel and a curved cutout at the blade edge. The blade edge curves into a sharp pick.
