- Description
- The Silver Star issued for First Lieutenant John E. Warren, Jr. features a gold star on a ribbon. The ribbon is blue, white, and red alternating stripes and is sewn onto a gold pinback. The pendant is suspended from a rectangular shaped metal loop with rounded corners that attach to the ribbon. The medal is a gold five-pointed star, with a laurel wreath encircling rays from the center. A silver star is superimposed in the center of the wreath. The back of the medal has text inscribed that reads, [FOR / GALLANTRY IN ACTION / JOHN E. / WARREN / JR.].
