- Description
- Black boiled wool evening dress designed by Kate Mack. The floor-length column dress has a wide cowl neck, full-length fitted sleeves, and a thigh-high slit at the proper left front side of the skirt. It is made from small asymmetric pieces of black boiled wool seamed together using a machine-sewn lock stitch with the seams exposed on the facing side to create a three-dimensional textural quality. The dress is not lined except for the cowl portion of the bodice, which is double-sided with the exterior top edge being folded over to the interior and seamed at the bust. A black fabric label with white embroidered text reading "Kate Mack" is sewn at the interior center back neck.
