- Description
- This dark green Delta State University letterman's jacket was worn by Lusia Harris. It consists of dark green wool on the outside and is lined with dark red polyester on the inside. The jacket has a square body with two slash pockets at the waist. Each pocket is edged in white leather. There are five white metal snap buttons down the front of the jacket. On the upper proper left chest is a round white patch shaped like a basketball with dark green embroidered text that reads [UNDEFEATED / AIAW / NATIONAL / 1975 CHAMPIONS]. On the proper right shoulder is a white patch of the letters [DSU]. Just below, is a second patch in the shape of the basketball with dark green embroidery that reads [LADY / 45 / STATESMEN]. The cuffs of the jacket fasten close with a tab and a white metal snap button. There is a white tag sewn into the nape of the neckline with green text that reads [42 / DRY / CLEAN]. A white fabric tag sewn into the inside proper left side seam has text in blue and red that reads [The Jacket for Champions / Tailored / by / BUTWIN / The Champion Of Jackets]. The tag has a small graphic of a walking man in a blue top and red pants. The back of the jacket is plain dark green wool.
