- Description
- Broderick Trophy for Outstanding Woman Basketball Player (a) and its accompanying wooden mount (b) awarded to Lusia Harris for 1976-1977. The award consists of a round silver plated shallow bowl. The bowl has a wide flat lip with engraving around its circumference that reads “For Outstanding Achievement in Women's Collegiate Athletics / The Broderick Sports Award." There are stylized leaves engraves between the phrases. The bowl is shallow. On the underside is engraves text in small letters that reads “Cast Exclusively for the Broderick Co. / by Nambe Mills Santa Fe, New Mexico.” The award comes with its own mount made of dark wood. The mount has a rectangular base with two curving arms protruding upwards from it to hold the award upright. One side of the mount has a beveled edge with a rectangular silver plaque on it with engraved text that reads "Lusia Harris Stewart / Delta State University / The Outstanding Woman Basketball Player / 1976-1977.”
