Description
A hand-colored albumen print of Mari¯i?a? F?eodorovna, or Princess Dagmar, shown in bust portrait. Her body is facing with her left side foremost and her head is turned to the front. Her hair is gathered in a snood behind her head with a gold band and a red bow on top of her head. She wears an evening gown with a ruffled yoke that is painted red with green ribbons. She wears several strands of pearls around her neck.
Handwritten in graphite along the bottom of the print is the text "Sister of Princess of Wales". Printed in ink below the print is the text "PRINCESS DAGMAR".
The print is housed in the album 2017.30. The album page has a triple-lined, gold border framing the print. Handwritten in graphite inside the bottom border of the printed frame of the album page is the text "Princess Dagmar".
