Description
A sweetgrass basket made by Mary A. Jackson. The tall, circular basket has a flat bottom with straight sides and two pleats at the neck that form lips extending out past the narrower neck and curving down towards the body of the basket. At the very top, a narrower lip curves out at the opening of the basket. The basket is composed mostly of lighter-colored grasses, with two wide bands of darker-colored grasses at the middle and top of the basket's body.
