- Description
- Photographic postcard of an unidentified World War I soldier. The soldier is wearing a full uniform with a cap, high-collared jacket with center buttons, wool trousers and dark puttees wrapped from ankle to knee. The soldier is looking at the camera in the center of the photograph. He stands with his proper right hand leaning on a table with long legs. On the table is a vase with flowers. The studio backdrop behind him has a stairway with a decorative handrail and trees behind. The photograph has a white border surrounding the image. The image is vertical while the postcard is horizontal. The back of the postcard has the words, [CARTE POSTALE] on the top. Underneath are sections for [Correspondance] and [Adresse]. Below the Adress are four lines for text that begin with [M]. The postcard is blank.
