- Description
- Albumen print stereograph titled: [Camp Dinner--War Views--Army of the Potomac No. 2056.] with two identical photographs of four white men seated around the table eating a meal and a Black man seated on the ground next to the makeshift table. Three of the men seated at the table wear hats. Two of the men are actively bringing food to their mouths. There are plates and cups on the table at the center. The man on the ground with his legs spread forward is the only one looking directly at the camera. He is leaning against a barrel and holds a coffee pot in his proper right hand. Behind the men are two tents and trees. The photographs are attached to a yellow mount. The back of the stereograph has a white rectangular paper attached with the title and the publisher’s information. It reads, [WAR VIEWS--ARMY OF THE POTOMAC. / No. 2056. / CAMP DINNER. / PUBLISHED BY E. H.T. ANTHONY & CO., / American and Foreign Stereoscopic Emporium, 501 Broadway. New-York.]
