A journalist pass from the June 1990 visit of the Deputy President of the African National Congress, Nelson Mandela, owned by Jim Vance. The badge (2018.107.9a) is yellow with black text and has a metal lanyard. At the center of the badge is the seal for the United States Department of State. Text on the badge reads “OFFICIAL PRESS CREDENTIAL / FOR THE Visit of / NELSON MANDELA / Deputy President / African National Congress / June 20-30, 1990 / United States Department of State / Bureau of Diplomatic Security No. 0741.” The back of the badge is blank.
