Description
A black-and-white photograph by Kenneth Royster of an unidentified man seated in a room with religious paraphernalia. The man is wearing a white three-piece suit with a dark striped tie and looking at the camera. He is seated in front of a short wall on the right side of the image. His hands are clasped in his lap and he is wearing a necklace with religious. On the left is a metal candle stand with votive holders shaped like leaves and a cross at the top. There is a ledge around the middle of the room. On the ledge above the candles are two (2) small flags connected to a central stand. Next to the flags are framed pictures, a statue of the Virgin Mary, and a curtained window. There are chairs covered in white fabric below the ledge. Next to the window a cane is hanging off the ledge in the back corner of the room. Another statue of the Virgin Mary is in the back center with candles in front of the figurine. The background is slightly out of focus. The edge of the negative is partially visible around the image. There is a numerical inscription on the reverse.
