- Description
- Tuxedo jacket from a White House butler uniform worn by Eugene Allen. The black jacket has satin lapels and a single button closure. There are pockets with flap closures on the front. There are two (2) buttons on the wrist of each sleeve. A clothing label is sewn into the interior. The label has gold-colored thread, which reads [Lewis & Thos. Saltz / Washington] with a logo in the center. Allen’s name is handwritten inside the right breast pocket.
