Description
A Delta "Remember, Honor, Renew" lapel pin issued by Delta Air Lines to commemorate one-year anniversary of terrorist attacks in the U.S. on September 11, 2001, owned by Delta Air Lines' first Black male flight attendant, Eugene Harmond.
This round, brass pin is designed with a red, white, and blue U.S. Stars and Stripes banner across engravings “Delta” and “September 2001”. Above the banner is “REMEMBER” and below the banner is “HONOR – RENEW”. The pin is attached to its original white and blue paper card which features large blue text and the Delta Widget. The text reads: [SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 / remember / We will never forget / the day our nation, / our live and the / airline industry / changed forever. / honor / We pay tribute to / heros – past, present / and future – who / inspire us all with / their selflessness / renew / We will find strength / in our shared resolve / to conquer even the / greatest challenges to / make us stronger.]. There is a clutchback fastener on the back of the pin.
