Description
A paper "Certificate of Dedication" presented by Delta Flight Museum to Delta Air Lines' first Black male flight attendant Eugene Harmond, February 2016.
Printed in red, blue, and black ink on white cardstock, the certifcate features a thin, red, double border around the edge. At top center is the Delta Flight Museum logo, which has the Delta "widget" in the center of blue wings with a round emblem reading [DELTA / FLIGHT MUSEUM] followed by large blue text reading [TOGETHER, WE’RE BUILDING / A LASTING LEGACY] and large red text reading [CERTIFICATE OF DEDICATION] smaller text notes that a brick with personalized inscription will be placed in the courtyard of the museum. This is followed by a historical, round Delta logo in black and the text of the inscription, [EUGENE R. HARMOND / 1ST AFRICAN-AMERICAN / MALE FLT ATTENDANT].The certificate is copy-signed in the bottom left corner by then executive director of Delta Flight Museum. There are no markings on the reverse of the certificate.
