- A copy of The National Freedman: A Monthly Journal of the New York National Freedman's Relief Association, Vol. 1, No. 10. Below is the volume information and date, printed between two double lines [Vol. I November 15, 1865 No. 10.]. Below the masthead and dateline is an introductory editorial titled, [THE NATIONAL THANKSGIVING]. The back cover lists the trustees, officers, committee members, and associate members of the New York National Freedman's Relief Association.
