- A newspaper with yellowed and brittle pages. The paper consists of a single sheet, folded to make four pages. The text is arranged in four vertical columns under a header that reads [The Pennsylvania Packet, and Daily Advertiser. / Price Four-Pence WEDNESDAY, February 20, 1788 No. 2822]. On page 3 is an ad titled [Five Pounds Reward] for [ran away...a Negro Slave, called Nathan] and a similar ad on page 4 for [a Negro Man Harry], a [blacksmith by trade]. There are also ads for runaway white apprentices and an ad reading [TO BE SOLD / For want of employ, the time of a / SERVANT GIRL]. There are many items on the sale of goods and land in the area, ship arrivals, and general news items.
