- The Soul Food Cookery cookbook by Inez Y. Kaiser, Third edition, August 1992. The book is paperback and bound with a black plastic binding comb on the left spine. The front cover and back covers are laminated. The front cover is predominantly light tan, with a frame of brown illustrations of food, ingredients, and beverages. At the center of the cover is the title of the book printed in stylized text that reads [SOUL / FOOD / COOKERY] and is encircled with a thin brown band. Below, in italicized brown text, is the author’s name [By / Dr. Inez Yeargan Kaiser]. The back cover is light tan and features a sepia photograph of the author and newspaper blurbs. The blurbs are framed in brown rectangles and printed below the photograph at different angles. Text below the author’s photograph reads [Dr. Inez Yeargan Kaiser / Food Editors Comments About Original Book]. The interior of the book has off white pages with brown text, eleven recipe sections, sepia photographs, and brown illustrations.
