- Description
- A wove paper card created by the Ku Klux Klan. Typed in black ink on an off white background, portrait orientation, the card begins,: [Dear Friend:-- ]. Below the introduction is a thick black dividing line, in large bold, it continues, [The Creed of the Ku Klux Klan] which begins with [The Tenets of the Christian Religion. / White Supremacy.] and then continues with twelve additional tenets. The back of the card is blank.

- Objects depicting symbols of hate or related to organized hate groups may be offensive and disturbing, but the NMAAHC aims to include them in the Collection to present and preserve the historical context in which they were created and used. Objects of this type provide an important historical record from which to study and evaluate history and culture.
