Description
A basketball uniform, jersey and shorts, worn by Allen Iverson of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1997-1998 season.
The jersey is black with red and gold details around the arm holes and neckline, which is a v-neck. There is a white, black, and gold star at the point of the v-neck. There is appliqué across the front reading [SIXERS / 3]. The appliqué is outlined in red. The word “SIXERS” is in white with a gold border. The “I” is dotted with a silver star outlined in red. There is an orange and black basketball under the second “S”, with a blue and silver design trailing behind it. The red, white, and blue NBA logo is embroidered at the proper left shoulder. There are two rectangular tags sewn onto the bottom proper left side of the jersey. The first is off white. There is a black rectangle at the top right side with off-white text which reads [DESIGNED & TAILORED BY / Champion ® / EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE / PHILADELPHIA 76’ERS]. There is a black oval which reads [1997-98] in off white. There is also a red, white, and blue NBA logo with the word “AUTHENTICS”, a black, gold, red, grey, and blue 76ERS logo, and blue text which reads [BODY LENGTH +2]. The white tag to the proper left has a red and blue Champion logo and blue text which reads [IT TAKES A LITTLE MORE / TO MAKE A CHAMPION / 42], followed by six (6) lines of laundry instructions. The back of the jersey has white appliqué with a read outline. It reads [IVERSON / 3]. There is a black ink signature inside of the “3”.
The shorts are black with red and gold accents around the waistband and leg openings. The Sixers logo is embroidered on the shorts on the proper right leg, and the red, white, and blue NBA logo is embroidered at the bottom of the proper left leg. The Sixers logo is a gold star with a red outline, the number “76” in white with a black outline, and an orange and black basketball with a silver and blue design coming out from the back of it. There is a series of tags on the inside of the waistband. The first tag is a white rectangle with a black border. There is a black, gold, and red stripe going vertically down the tag. On the proper right side of the stripe there is a black, gold, red, grey, and blue “76” logo, and a red, white, and blue NBA logo with the word “AUTHENTICS”. To the proper left side of the stripe there is blue text which reads [DESIGNED AND TAILORED BY], black text below which reads [Champion], a black rectangle with white text that reads [EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE], and a gold oval with a black border and black text which reads [PHILADELPHIA 76ERS]. The tag to the proper left side is white with a red and blue “Champion” logo, a handwritten black number “3”, and blue text which reads [IT TAKES A LITTLE MORE / TO MAKE A CHAMPION / 40], followed by six (6) lines of laundry instructions. There are two smaller white rectangle tags with blue text that read [+2 INSEAM] and [+2 RISE]. There are two other white tags inside the short with black text that read [BODY FABRIC: / COLORS / 100% NYLON / WHITE / 100% POLYESTER] and [2 INCH / EXTRA / LENGTH]. There is a white frayed drawstring inside the waistband.
