- Description
- A wooden band conductor's Baton with mount. Held in place by a small loop of string, on a light blue ribbon lined, grainy wooden mount (b), rests a dark wood conductor’s baton (a) used by Dr. William P. Foster, to lead his Florida A&M University Marching 100 throughout their musical events. The handle of the baton is black, bulbous, and has a large filigree treble clef inscribed on its front. Below the black handle is a metal ring that divides the wand portion of the baton from the handle. The tip is the same metal. On one side of the mount, a metal placard shows the faded etching: [DR. WILLIAM P. FOSTER]. The mount is missing one of its end pieces on the side of the baton’s handle.
