Description
An off-white Florida A&M University Marching Band jacket (a) and pants (b). The single-breasted women’s wool jacket and men’s polyester and wool pants are embellished with gold colored thread embroidery and gold color metal buttons.
The exterior of the jacket features a notched lapel, two waist flap pockets, and one proper left kerchief breast pocket with gold color FAMU embroidery. Both padded shoulders each have one gold color button at the straps, and each sleeve has three wide bars of gold color embroidery at the wrists. Embroidery in a shape akin to the fleur-de-lis features above the three bars on each sleeve. There are two metal gold color buttons for closure at the torso. The jacket interior is lined in a white synthetic material with clear plastic buttons at the top of each shoulder. There are two white tags at the bottom of the neck; the first tag, plastic and paper, shows a barcode with numbers: [96685627]. The second, larger sewn-in tag, in black stitch, reads: [1449]. There is cream color soft padding at the armpits, and the proper right side of the jacket includes a large black, red, and gold, sewn-in tag. A commemoratively designed 100 is embroidered in red thread, and the inside of the first zero shows: [Fruhauf TM / Uniforms, INC. / 1910-2010]. A discreet open pocket on the proper right of the jacket, on the other side of the Fruhauf tag, has an off-white sewn-in care instructions tag.
The off-white men’s polyester and wool pants feature belt loops, front and back pockets, and wide gold color thread embroidery spanning the length of each leg. There is white Velcro at the front of the waist, a brass zipper, a cream color plastic button and a metal hook for closure. There are three interior tags: the first tag, plastic and paper, shows a barcode with numbers: [96686787]. The second, larger sewn-in tag, in black stitch, reads: [1450]. The third tag features care information, and two white buttons.
