Description
Original cover art color overlays for an issue of Icon owned by Dwayne McDuffie. The overlay is made up of three plastic transparencies of different color taped to a blank, white piece of paper. Each overlay has the cover illustration printed on it in a different color. The top overlay is black and outlines the drawing in black. The second overlay is blue. The third overlay is red and yellow. When combined the overlays fill in the colors used on the cover. The overlays are connected by a piece of adhesive tape. The illustration is for the cover of Icon #44 and features the character Rocket flying upwards with arms outstretched. She is surrounded by purple smoke. The character named Icon is wearing a green cape and is looking on from a building ledge with his arms crossed. A cityscape is in the background. In the top left corner is the DC Comics logo, Milestone Media logo, issue number and price. At the top center of the page is [MCDUFFIE BRIGHT TANGHAI / ICON / THE BEGINNING OF THE END]. The top overlay has several handwritten inscriptions concerning the layout of the cover.
