- A sepia tone cabinet card photograph of John Lincoln Derrick, publisher and editor of The Western Outlook, a San Francisco-based newspaper. Captured in front of solid backdrop, a young John Lincoln Derrick, having dark short hair and a moustache, poses for his portrait. He wears a high collar white shirt, striped necktie, suit jacket and matching vest with boutonniere. Below the photograph in light brown ink, the photographer’s imprint reads: [Cramer / 402 Kearny St., S. F.]. On the reverse of the cabinet photograph card are graphite inscriptions and “Very truly yours / J. Lincoln Derrick].
