In 2000 Marlon St. Julien became the first African American to race in the Kentucky Derby in almost eighty years. He used this saddle in the Derby.
Description
A black leather jockey saddle used by Marlon St. Julien at the 2000 Kentucky Derby. The saddle has tan stitching along the seams and shows signs of use and wear, particularly along the seams of the back panel and the proper right skirt.
