Description
A typewritten letter, black ink on white paper, written to George Washington High School in San Francisco, California, and signed in blue ink by Maya Angelou. At top center is a P.O. box address in Boyes Hot Springs, California. The letter is dated at top right [March 22, 1976] and addressed to Claire Camozzi, teacher of "San Francisco Experience Classes." In the body of the letter, Angelou accepts an invitation from the school for a visit, but declines to be a guest for lunch. Angelou's signature appears at bottom right. There are no marks or inscriptions on the reverse of the letter.
