Description
A black-and-white gelatin silver photograph of Matt and Terri Lyne Carrington at the entrance of Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.
The image depicts an adolescent Terri Lyne Carrington, with her father Matt, standing for their picture in front of the Corinthian style columns of the Berklee College of Music building, which would later become Terri Lyne’s alma mater. Matt Carrington wears a dark newsboy hat and six-button coat, his proper right arm around his daughter. Terri Lyne Carrington wears a bright wide-billed hat and a shearling lined coat.
On the white reverse of the photograph is an inscription in turquoise felt tip pen near the top, is: [Terri Carrington / Ebony 4-77 not used]. A blue ink stamp identifying the photographer, G. Marshall Wilson, is marked in the middle.
