- Description
- An Adobe Illustrator file of the “lower view render” from a project titled “Black Effect” by Tobi Ashiru. The project is an artistic reimagining of the National Museum of African American History and Culture with this view depicting an exterior view of the southeast corner of the building.
- In this view, the Museum building is depicted in the background, set atop green grass and against a bright yellow sky. In the foreground of the image is a structure with a V-shaped, subterranean entrance in front of the building. The interior walls are shown in gray with white highlighting on the top edge. Over the gray interior of the walls are solid darker gray lines drawn in perspective at the joint where the two parts of the wall meet at the corner below a hexagonal shape and a triangle. There are two green lines running diagonally down the long sides of the walls. Above the green lines, and within the triangle shape near the apex of the corner, is an array of white and light tan lines drawn at various angles. The ground in front of the structure is a rendering of gray concrete. Behind this triangular entrance, in the upper left quadrant of the illustration, is a partial view of the museum building. The building has a ground floor rendered with light blue glass panels and sliding doors and three crown-shaped tiers depicted in white and black asymmetrical stripes rising above. On the right side of the second tier is a glass panel and a gold, asymmetrical outcropping with a triangular segment of green foliage and white flowers. At the far right of the background is an arcing bridge structure composed of grey segments intersected by another triangle of green foliage and white flowers.
