- Description
- A black-and-white photograph, Untitled (Kwame Brathwaite Self Portrait at AJASS Studios), by Kwame Brathwaite. The photograph depicts Brathwaite from the shoulders up. He is positioned left of center, looking at the viewer, with a serious expression on his face. At the center of the image is a medium format camera mounted on the tripod. In his proper left hand he is holding the camera’s shutter trigger release and he is holding proper right hand at chest level with his thumb and middle finger touching. Brathwaite is wearing a medium tone sports coat with thin, light pinstripes over a black shirt. The background of the photograph is black. The square shaped image has a thick white border. The back of the photograph is plain and white.
