- A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of A. Phillip Randolph giving a speech at an NAACP Convention in Albany, New York. The background is black with a single light illuminating from the upper right corner. Randolph is at the center, dressed in a black suit with a white dress shirt. He is standing in front of a microphone and podium. His proper right hand holds the edge of the podium and he is speaking into the microphone.
- There are two inscriptions on the front of the print identifying the subject and the photographer's signature. On the back of the print is a vertical line made with pencil.
