Description
A digital print depicting a black-and-white image of three women singing beside two men at the 1967 NAACP Conference in Albany, New York. Taken from the side, the three women, two in the front and one in the back, are the most centered. A microphone and podium are in front of the two women. A streak of light shines in the upper right quadrant.
The woman most centered in the photograph is wearing a soda jerk hat printed with [RWDSU / LOCAL / 1199], a New York hospital and health care union affiliated with AFL-CIO. Her hands are clasped at her waist and she is wearing a mid-sleeve coat. The second woman is to the first woman’s proper left, who has her proper right hand raised at chest level and is wearing a dark-colored dress. To the second woman’s proper left is a man in a suit and a kufi hat. His face is covered by the microphone.
The third woman, behind the first two, is presumably wearing dark coat with an illegible button or sticker on her proper right upper chest. A man is standing to her proper left, wearing presumably a black hat.
There are no inscriptions on the print, front or back.
