Description
A digital print depicting a black-and-white image of a busy kitchen belonging to the New York Young Lords during their breakfast program, with five children in view sitting and eating breakfast while three young adults cook near the stove. A long table is set with a plastic covering. At the center of the table is toppings needed for foods, such as hot sauces, honey, and ketchup. Five children as visibly seated on the side closest to the stove. They all appear to have plastic eating-ware, with plates and cups. The ages of the children range.
Behind the seated children, to the far left is presumably a cupboard with painted flowers. In the center back are two young adults, Maritza and Elena Gonzalez; one is cooking presumably eggs on the stove, their back turned, and the other facing the children with a utensil in their proper right hand. To the far right is a third young adult, mixing ingredients into a bowl. There are cartons of milk and eggs are on the counter. A shelf above the stove, counter, and sink holds various sizes of pans and pots.
There are no inscriptions on the print, front or back.
