- Description
- A digital scan (pdf file) of an architectural drawing for a Warriors in Transition barracks. The original drawing was done in pen and ink with Prismacolor markers. It consists of a detail elevation drawing in the middle with early concept elevation drawings on the left and right.
- The detail elevation drawing features a precast concrete pediment atop a large portico that casts a narrow shadow on the recessed façade to its right. The portico itself is supported by four (4) columns, each four (4) feet wide. Its back wall consists of a large arched window, depicted in blue, surrounded by precast concrete, as well as bricks on the left and right. The floor beneath the portico consists of split face concrete blocks depicted by small green dashes within loosely drawn rectangles. Two arched windows can also be seen on the floor beneath the portico.
- The early concept elevations to the left and right feature vertical lines for the roof and dashed lines for the facade of each floor. Loosely drawn squares and rectangles depict windows and balconies. The title and scale are handwritten at the bottom of the drawing, below the ground plane, in green ink as [WT BARRACKS. FRONT ELEV / FT STWEART SCALE: 1/8 = 0.125 1'-0"].
