- Description
- A black-and-white archival print of Charlene Mitchell being arrested by a Santa Clara County Sheriff deputy with name badge that reads [RHODES]. Mitchell wears a scarf, overcoat with [FREE ANGELA] pin, and slight smile as she is led by the right arm. Deputy Sheriff at left directs Deputy Rhodes to take Mitchell out of field of view towards the viewer. Behind Mitchell and the deputies is a group of at least a dozen reporters aiming cameras and microphones towards the scene. On back at top left in pencil is [1972 - San Jose]; at center is [Stephen Shames / 2/10].
