A black-and-white archival print of Angela Davis being released on bail. She smiles widely while standing behind a man whose back is to the viewer. The two appear to stand in front of a car with a door open for entry. A woman carrying a messenger bag over her shoulder stands behind Davis, as does a sheriff's deputy with hands clasped. A crowd can be seen gathered in the background. On back at top left in pencil is [1972 - San Jose]; at center is [Stephen Shames / 2/10].
