- Description
- A pigment print photograph in a mirrored frame depicting the photographer's young daughter with an unidentified older woman in a home in Salvador, Brazil. The girl stands on a couch with a draped red cover. She wears an elaborate gold crown with a center fish design from which hang strands of delicate gold beads across her face. She holds a small scepter surmounted with a broad, leaf-shaped structure with a ring of white beads at the center. She has a band of gold-colored silk material across her chest and a full skirt of black tulle with a pattern of silver metallic circles. She is barefoot, and stands next to the older woman, who is seated on the red couch. The woman wears a short-sleeved dress in a black and white pattern and is also barefoot. The couch sits in front of a turquoise painted wall and on a black and white tiled floor. The photograph is situated in a mirrored frame, custom designed by the photographer.
