- Description
- A black-and-white photograph of Kamoinge Workshop member, Adger Cowans, captured by Anthony Barboza. The close-up portrait depicts Cowans from the neck up. His body turned towards the right side of the photograph and his face is turned towards the viewer. Cowans has a thick, full beard and mustache and is wearing a black shirt. The proper left side of his face is in shadow.
- Beneath the image in the bottom left corner is the title, year, and edition number handwritten in black ink: [Adger Cowans 1972 1/5]. In the bottom right corner is photographer’s signature in black ink: [A. Barboza].
- The verso of the photograph is plain white. A handwritten inscription and photographer’s signature written in black ink just above the center reads [Kamoinge 1972 / 1st set of 5 / printed on Hahnemuhle / Feb. 2018 / Anthony Barboza].
