- Description
- A black-and-white photograph of Kamoinge Workshop member, Ming Smith, captured by Anthony Barboza. The close-up portrait depicts Smith from the neck up. She is facing the viewer with her chin tilted slightly downwards and turned towards her proper left shoulder. The proper left side of her face is in shadow.
- Beneath the image in the bottom left corner is the title, year, and edition number handwritten in black ink that reads [Ming Smith 1972 1/5]. In the bottom right corner is photographer’s signature in black ink that reads [A. Barboza].
- The verso of the photograph has a handwritten inscription and photographer’s signature written in black ink: [Kamoinge 1972 / 1st set of 5 / printed on Hahnemuhle / Feb. 2018 / Anthony Barboza].
