- Description
- An orange bone china accent plate from the Wedgwood X Sheila Bridges collaboration, featuring the vanity vignette from Bridges' Harlem Toile de Jouy design.
- On the face of the small, round orange plate is a scene of three women in 18th century clothing performing their toilette. The women appear grouped together on a raised platform under a tree. A seated woman at the right holds a large, oval mirror for the seated woman at center to look into, her long hair loose around her head. The third woman stands behind her, helping to arrange her hair. Behind her is a vanity table with a smaller mirror and various accessories. The standing woman’s dress is blue and lavender roses appear in an urn on the opposite side of the platform, the only color amid an otherwise black, grey and white design. The women, the platform they appear on, the urn of roses and the tree all appear with a white background, while the black and grey lines of the rest of the design appear on the orange background of the plate. On the underside of the plate is a backstamp design of two blue high-heeled slipper shoes askew in the grass, along with two purple roses with green leaves and the tree limbs arching above. There is printed black text in the center that reads [WEDGWOOD / X / SHEILA BRIDGES / Bone China / Dishwasher Safe]. The plate has a black rim.
