Description
A painting titled, Pine Needle Series – Blue, by Freddie Styles. The acrylic painting is on a piece of gessoed rag paper with deckled edges with the painting fully covering the entire surface of the paper. It is an abstract painting with a web-like, speckled texture, created with blue, gray, white, and black paints applied with pine needles. The verso of the painting is primarily white with some migratory paint from the recto staining the edges. Handwritten black ink text in the bottom right corner reads, [FREDDIE STYLES / PINE NEEDLE SERIES – BLUE / ACRYLIC ON GESSOED RAG PAPER / 28 X 45 inches – 2015]. It is signed and dated by the artist below in blue paint that reads [STyLES / 2015].
