- Description
- This is the “Earchie earrings,” a pair of dangle earrings designed and created by jeweler Art Smith. Each earring is made of one upper dangle made of copper wire and one lower dangle made of brass wire. The upper dangle copper wire is bent at the center into a circle and the long ends are flattened and laid parallel and flattened. The screw backing is attached to the copper ends. The center of the brass wire is bent into a circle and goes through the circle of the copper wire. The brass wire has the long ends meet and are flattened, dangling. The circles of both wires are blackened due to oxidation employed by Smith.
