- Description
- A framed mixed media collage on a handkerchief titled “Spring-Summer-Fall-Winter (Girl to Woman), Handkerchief Series” by Betye Saar. The handkerchief is white with a yellow polka dot pattern. At the center of the handkerchief is a yellow square with a slightly smaller white square layered on top. Photographs of girls and women have been cut out and placed across the bottom edge of the white square. There are three yellow butterflies, one center top of the white square and one on either side of the cut out photographs. At the bottom corners of the yellow square are two flowers attached. Outside of the upper left corner of the yellow square, on the yellow polka dot pattern, is a crescent moon.
