- Description
- A black-and-white gelatin silver photograph titled “Ifa Blessing” by John Simmons. The photograph captures an Ifa divination rite over a body of water located at the left foreground, surrounded by small boulders and tall trees. Several people dressed in white are sitting or standing against the rocks. The rite is likely led by the most foreground person on the right. The figure's proper right arm is raised in the air as everyone in the background looks in the direction of the figure.
- The photographer signed the print in the front, lower right corner in black ink [John Simmons, ASC] with the title, location, and date in lower left corner in black ink [Ifa Blessing – CA 2012].
