Description
A black-and-white pigment print titled “Links Cotillion, Los Angeles” by John Simmons. The photograph captures the Father/Daughter Waltz at the 63rd Annual Debutante Cotillion by the Los Angeles Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. In the background is a double staircase. At the center is a dance floor, filled with the 26 debutantes dressed in white gowns with white evening gloves and their dance partners, all dressed in tuxedos and some with white gloves. At the foreground, near the edge of the dance floor, are two pairs of dancers, on the left and right. They are each in the middle of a dance step and are captured side-by-side, with the debutantes on the outside. In the bottom right corner is a table with the table number [20A]. There are four people seated and three of them have their phones out horizontally to capture the dance.
The photograph is signed by the photographer in black ink in the lower, right corner [John Simmons, ASC] and the location and date are written in the lower left corner in black ink [Los Angeles, CA 2015].
