- Description
- A black and white art linoleum cut on Japanese paper by Samella Sanders Lewis. Roughly two-thirds of the print is black, intersected by a wave-like bottom half of white that shows black lined striations. At the center, which appears as a rounding pinnacle, the black and white sections intertwine to form a thick crescent arc of white, inside of which is a smaller, thicker black crescent. The artist’s signature and date are inscribed in graphite in the lower right margin: [Samella lewis 1969]; title and edition are inscribed in the lower left margin: [Confrontation 4/35].
