- Description
- A framed photograph of then Political Officer with the State Department Pamela E. Bridgewater with then Deputy President of the African National Congress Nelson Mandela and U.S. Ambassador to South Africa William Lacy Swing. The three individuals are captured standing in an interior office space. Swing is on the far right, displaying a document in a folder to Mandela (center) and Bridgewater (left), who both are looking down at the document. Swing is in a dark blue suit, Mandela is in a dark grey suit, and Bridgewater is in a turquoise suit. On the table in front of them are two figural statues, and behind them a flag in the ANC colors of green, black, and yellow is partially visible. In the far background are windows covered in vertical blinds, and an office desk and chair. The photograph is housed in a brown wooden frame.
