Description
Badge awarded to Isabelle Daniels. The badge is a vertical ellipse-shaped oval. It is silver in color and has a red border. There are silver branches in the border, as well as text which reads [OLYMPIC GAMES / MELBOURNE 1956]. The center of the badge is silver. It features a raised image of a torch with red flames. There is a green shape of Australia behind the handle of the torch. The colorful interlocking Olympic rings are depicted above the torch, and they overlap onto the border. There is a shiny red ribbon with a forked end attached to the badge. It has white text printed on it which reads [ATHLETICS]. The back of the badge has engraved text which reads [4414], and embossed text which reads [K.G. LUKE / MELBOURNE]. There is a metal pin closure above the text. There is faded white text printed on the back of the ribbon, near the top.
There are marks and areas of discoloration in several places on the badge, as well as several areas of discoloration on the ribbon.
