- Description
- A stool designed by Mark Grattan. The stool consists of an oval-shaped seat set atop two wedge-shaped legs. The tapered ends of the legs face inwards towards the center of the bench. Both seat and legs are covered with fabric made of woven cream, brown, gold, and tan fibers with loose gold and white threads that create a highly textured surface. At the center of the seat is a gold-toned metal plate with three concentric raised rings. Rope-like padded fabric bands are arranged around the center plate in concentric rings. These padded bands continue down the exterior side of the stool legs. Attached to the long sides of the oval-shaped seat, between the two legs, are two gold metal plates with a thin, metal band. The interior surfaces of the wedge-shaped legs are flat and unpadded. The bottom of the seat and legs are also covered in fabric, and there are four silver metal floor glides screwed to the bottom of each leg.
