- Description
- Union County Meet medal awarded to Eulace Peacock in 1927. The medal is silver colored, rectangular, and has a round bezel with a jump ring. In the center of the obverse of the medal is a relief depiction of the Winged Victory of Samothrace statue on a rectangular plinth. Below the proper left wing of the headless statue is relief text that reads [UNION / COUNTY / MEET / 1927]. Next to the proper right leg of the statue is a laurel branch. On the reverse of the medal is a relief depiction of a laurel branch and an inscription that reads, [G-S / Class B / Boys / 75 YD. DASH]. Along the bottom edge is a stamped maker’s mark for Dieges & Clust, an eagle’s head in profile above three spearhead shaped banners with the text [D], [&], and [C] stamped inside each banner. Below is the text, [STERLING / DIEGES & CLUST].
