- Description
- Boston Athletic Association silver medal for the 50 Yard Dash event awarded to Eulace Peacock on February 8, 1936. The silver colored medal is round and has a round jump ring threaded through bezel at the top. In the center of the obverse of the medal is an enameled blue Boston Athletic Association shield with a gold unicorn depicted in profile. The shield is outlined in silver. Printed in relief around the shield is a laurel wreath and the text, [BOSTON · ATHLETIC · ASSOCIATION 1887] along the edge of the medal. On the reverse of the medal is stamped text in a banner that reads, [INVITATION] and [GAMES] below. Additional stamped and engraved text below that reads [FEB. 8, 1936 / 50 YD. DASH]. Along the bottom edge is a stamped maker’s mark for Dieges & Clust, an eagle’s head in profile above three spearhead shaped banners with the text [D], [&], and [C] stamped inside each banner. Below is the text, [STERLING / DIEGES & CLUST].
